EFT Worksheets

If you need couples therapy, you need a couples therapist. Doing worksheets may be helpful--but could make tensions flare. Proceed with caution. Here, from the Training Institute for Emotionally Focused Therapy (TRI-EFT) is a page of EFT assessments and worksheets that may be of interest either way.

For a full book of similar material, focused primarily on how lifelong attachment patterns play out in romantic partnerships, consider An Emotionally Focused Workbook for Couples: The Two of Us

And, if you're a therapist looking for a primer on EFT but don't have a full book's-worth of reading in you, here's a PowerPoint walkthrough from an Evolution of Psychotherapy conference.

Enjoy.

Relationship Worksheets

A Relationship Vision worksheet, and lots more Harville Hendrix/Imago-based material is posted here, courtesy of therapist Vera Eck. Some are self-explanatory. For others, you either need to call a therapist or do some Harville Hendrix reading. Whatever you choose, good luck!

Divorce Worksheets and Workbooks

Here's a topic not covered enough on these pages. There've been plenty of posts about making relationships work, about anger management, couples communication, and the like. But how to approach the end of a marriage? How to make a divorce work?

The web has some free worksheeted answers: Activities for helping children deal with divorce, financial planning docs from the Institute for Divorce Financial Analyts, a pair of WISH worksheets for kids from I Am a Child of Divorce.

And New Harbinger just put this out: Getting Through My Parent's Divorce -- A Workbook for Children Coping with Divorce, Parental Alienation, and Loyalty Conflicts.  Follow the Amazon link for more in the category. Could come in handy. Good luck.

Big Worksheet Collection

Big thanks to Abigail in Athens, GA, who sent a heads-up about the huge worksheet collection posted by Seattle's Harborview Med Center. Here are fact sheets about a variety of topics (anxiety, depression, dating, assault...). Another page features childhood trauma worksheets for clients and therapists. Still more--regarding relationships, anger, family communication, parenting and so on--are linked on the sidebar at the site.

Restructuring Frustrations Worksheet

From joyful-relationships.com, here's an Imago-therapy based, four-page Restructuring Frustrations Worksheet (apparently meant to accompany the online Couples Workstation). The full scoop on Imago therapy is in Harville Hendrix's book, Getting the Love You Want.

Update: An alternative to the now-defunct link is here.
